Pillow case DIY for Dummies :)

Not a long time ago I saw these awesome chevron pillow cases, but the price was way too high for me to buy them, so I decided to make one !

A few weeks ago, I bought a sewing machine. I think it was time after 6 years of marriage.

I just want to use it to make REALLY simple projects like pillows, because I am really bad at sewing right now.

I thought it would be nice for all the other people like me out there to share a little tutorial on how to make a pillow case.

I know, I know, everybody knows how to make one, but if there is at least another bad sewer like me, this article will be worth it :)

So there you go.
Alors, c'est parti !

Here are the stuff you'll need.

Fabric / Tissu
Pins / Épingles
Sewing Machine (or just a thread and a needle) / Une machine à coudre (ou au moins du fil et une aiguille)
Scissors / Ciseaux
Pillow / Un coussin à recouvrir
Mesure Tape / Un mètre ruban

In this example, I chose to make a 60 cm x 40 cm pillow case.

Cut two pieces in your fabric of 40x60 cm.

Put the two faces that your are going to see at the end and put them on each other, as your can see on the picture.

To maintain them this way, put pins all around it, but leave a space big enough to insert the pillow once it will be sewed.

Sew both parts, but leave the space to insert the pillow.

Insert the pillow and pin the last part not sewed. And sew it.

And there it is :)
Et voilà le résultat !
